AAV Lue-Stailas is an innovative center for stargazing and amateur astrophotography. It was founded by Drs. Vaclav and Jitka Ourednik and opened on December 12, 2009 in the International Year of Astronomy.

The site is on the grounds of the tiny village Lü in a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve in the Swiss Alps. On a sunny terrace at 2000 m above sea level, it faces south towards the breathtaking mountain panorama of the Val Muestair.

 

 

 

The exceptional location of the center allows the guests not only to do excellent astrophotography with high-end imaging equipment but also offers an unforgettable stay with gorgeous mountain sceneries and landscapes, with endless opportunities for walks, hiking, and skiing, and many architectural, historic, and culinary treasures to sample from.
