Accommodation
- AAV Lue-Stailas has a two-night minimum stay requirement. Prices are in CHF and include all taxes and final cleaning.
- Not included is technical support during the use of astronomical equipment and during astrophotography. The latter is billed on an hourly basis.
- A reservation is not completed until 30% of the room rent are paid in advance, preferably via e-banking. The balance is to be paid at the arrival. For more important information, please read our guidelines.

Astronomical domes and technical support
Equipment rental fees cover also the initial introduction to the operation of the setups, the use of a laptop for telescope control and all software necessary for digital data processing. Included is also a final DVD for burning of the final results and images. |

Persons not staying with us are in general not allowed to use the intruments of the center.

Astronomical equipment
All instruments are rented separately from the accommodation. Domes are rented out per night and only to guests staying with us. Advanced experience in CCD-Astrophotography is indispensable for the operation of the domes.
The rent for the astronomical equipment is paid after the arrival at AAV Lue-Stailas and before its usage. We request a security deposit of 500 CHF which will be returned after a correct check-out of the intruments.
Although it is not mandatory to rent astronomical equipment while staying as a guest at AAV Lue-Stailas, preference will be given to those who do so. Guests who would like to bring their own equipment have to discuss this first with our office prior to reservation.
Cancellations
If, for some unfortunate reason, it becomes necessary for you to cancel a reservation, you will be given a full refund minus 10% handling fees until 15 days prior to your arrival and 50% until 8 days before arrival. No refunds will be issued for cancellations later than that.
Equipment-related refunds in case of bad weather
We offer refund or a carry-over of the full costs for rented equipment towards the next visit, if the weather should not permit imaging. The judgment of the latter is at the sole discretion of the Center's Management.
